Weekly Newsletter for November 9, 2017

Dear Parents and Friends,

Come join us tomorrow for our Veteran’s Day assembly at 8:05. We will sing patriotic songs and hear from a local veteran as we honor our military for the service they provide us. Students are encouraged to wear Red, White, and Blue accessories with their uniform. Jesus, you said, “there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” We pray for those men and women who have, in their military service, sacrificed their time, strength, ambition, health, and even their lives on this earth to benefit ‘friends,’ known and unknown. I encourage you to include our members of the military both living and dead in your prayers today. May God bless our Veterans today and everyday for the gift of life they bring to us all.

It is with a mixed blessing I share this news with you. We will be saying good-bye to Mr. Tom Stoddard who has served our school community as a friend and is a true key player.

November 9, 2017

Dear Saint Isabella community,

I have resigned my position as Facilities Director at St. Isabella Church and School. My last day will be November 30, 2017. My past 9 years here are full of great friendships, memories, and way too many stories.   I have appreciated the opportunity to get to know all of you.

The students, faculty, and parent volunteers in this school are fantastic, and it has been a pleasure to work and socialize with you.    I will miss those morning greetings from parents and students during morning drop off.

I appreciate the support and efforts of all our parish ministries, and the great volunteer commitments that so many provide.

My family and I have been parishioners here at St. Isabella for the past 28 years. I will continue to be a Parishioner and member of the St. Isabella Men’s Club, and I look forward to seeing you at various events.

I have a new opportunity and it is now time for me to move on.

Thank you,

Tom Stoddard

We cannot replace Tom as a person and a friend, but true to Tom’s character he is in the process of assisting us to hire a qualified person into this position.
