Dear Parents,

What an exciting and successful auction! Dressed in tuxedos and gowns, the evening was enjoyed by all who attended. The auction event came together under the leadership of Kathleen Kilkenny, the Auction chair, and support by a dedicated auction committee. We are so grateful to Kathleen and her team of “Key Players” who Bonded together to create an evening enjoyed by all in attendance. With over 185 people attending, beautiful displays of art and creativity by our students and parents, and generous contributions in support of our school, including the paddle raising during the Fund-a-Need. The After Auction Sale takes place tomorrow, October 20 from 2-5 pm in parish center. You can pick up items you purchased at the online auction, at the auction and any items that were not bid upon. If you have not contributed to Fund-A-Need you are encouraged to add your contribution which will allow us to put air conditioning into our classrooms as well as putting our solar project in motion.

During these challenging times for our neighbors to the north, the school community is exploring ways to best offer our support. Our Student Council is researching current and ongoing needs of these communities and planning supportive activities and fundraising. A percentage of all PCB fundraising events, including auction funds, will be donated to organizations that support children. We have learned of an immediate need for the children in the Santa Rosa/Sonoma/Napa area. Do you have Halloween costumes you can donate? If so bring them to the school and we will have them delivered to children in the fire areas.

Jesus calls us to action: Matthew 25:40 ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ As the fires begin to subside the air quality is improving. We will continue to monitor the air to determine the safety of outside activities. May we continue our daily prayers for those affected by the fires.
