Welcome to Second Grade
Welcome to Saint Isabella School! I am so excited for a wonderful school year. I have been teaching for eleven years, eight of which were in third grade. I am currently in my third year of teaching second grade at Saint Isabella School. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Education from Dominican University in 2004 and a Multi-Subject CLAD clear credential from Dominican University in 2005. I have three children with my husband of 10 years.
It is here at Saint Isabella school students are able to express themselves and acquire all of the tools to become a successful learner in the classroom including the new adopted Common Core curriculum. We will have a fantastic year full of exciting events, including the sacrament of Reconciliation and the sacrament of First Holy Communion. This second grade classroom encourages everyone to express their unique qualities while learning all of the important content of second grade. It is a fun, faith-filled year! Read more about the curriculum and volunteer opportunities.
There are many enrichment activities during the year including field trips. This year we will be working with the Marin Art and Garden Center and their master gardener program. Along with Mr. Bixby, the second grade will be attending this exciting field trip in September. To end a successful year, we will be going on a religious retreat/hike to Bon Tempe Lake in Fairfax. We finish the day with yummy lunch and admiring God’s creation.
Cheers to a blessed year!
All my best,
